Our Terms

  1. The customer is responsible for the hired equipment from the time of delivery until collection. All orders should be checked upon receipt as shortage claims will not be entertained afterwards. All equipment will remain the property of The Plate Lady throughout the period of hire.
  2. Hired equipment should only be used for its intended purpose. No responsibility can be accepted for injury or damage caused by the misuse of the equipment.
  3. Customers are responsible for breakages or losses to hired equipment, including crates and packing materials. A list of replacement costs for all items will be provided when hiring out the equipment. We do not accept substitute items for equipment that has been lost or damaged.
  4. Prices quoted are based on a 48-hour hire period, or Friday to Monday. Quotes available on request for longer hire periods. No VAT charges apply.
  5. A deposit is payable on all orders to guarantee the booking. This deposit will be held against any loss/damage to items hired or cancellation fee (if applicable). Deposits will be refunded within 7 days after the return of equipment, once all hire items have been checked at our premises (minus any applicable charges). On orders above €1,000 the deposit shall be 20% of the hire cost.
  6. A transport service is available and quotes will be provided on request according to distance travelled. Alternatively, customers can collect and return equipment to our premises without charge, although a large vehicle may be required in this instance. Hired goods must be left properly packed and together for collection in the same place where they were delivered.
  7. All equipment is supplied ready for use and must be returned washed (glassware excepted). If required, a quote can be provided for washing-up service. If availing of this service, all delph and cutlery must be returned rinsed and the glasses placed upside down in their proper racks.
  8. Payment is required by cash or cheque on or before delivery of the equipment.
  9. Our cancellation policy is 10 days prior to the booked day, without penalty. After that date, the deposit paid will be forfeited.
